("jhon ruh") 1. in general usage, a category of artistic, musical, or literary composition characterized by a particular style, form, or content; French, from Middle French genre, "kind, gender"; c. 1770. 2. in gamerese, a collection of behaviors and limits placed on characters because the world they live in demands it, regardless of logic. Ex: Player: "But why would I dress up in blue spandex just because I can shoot lasers from my eyes? Wouldn't it make more sense to wear street clothes and get the drop on my enemies?"
